All McDonalds Closed in Boliva.
"Bolivia will become the first McDonald’s-free Latin American nation, after struggling for more than a decade to keep their numbers out of ‘the red.’
After 14 years in the nation and despite many campaigns and promos McDonald’s was forced to close its 8 Bolivian restaurants in the major cities of La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
McDonald’s served its last hamburgers in Bolivia Saturday at midnight, after announcing a global restructuring plan in which it would close its doors in seven countries with poor profit margins.
The failure of McDonald’s in Bolivia had such a deep impact in the company’s Creative and Marketing staff, that they produced a documentary titled “Why did McDonald’s Bolivia go Bankrupt,” trying to explain why did Bolivians never crossed-over from empanadas to Big Macs."

Low End Theory Voted #1 Club from LA Weekly
After being a part of Low End Theory since it's humble beginnings close to 5 years ago, the club has advanced from being the super underground LA beat scene, to being to the ever popular #1 best club in LA "LOW END THEORY"! This is great for all the residents that have been working their asses off for the past years, working for full sold out crowds every Wednesday, dealing with the fucking cops, the fire department, and rounds and rounds of bad security groups. They have been a huge part of my life already, not only for the learning, networking and inspiration, but they also had given me the opportunity to play there twice, the first time being my DJ debut!! This place has always been open to promoting aspiring local talent and artists, in almost every genre of art, and I do have to say I'm very grateful to have lived around and been a part of such a place! I could easily say the same for all of my friends :]
Congrats to Low End Theory on your #1 Club in LA, achievement from LA Weekly! It should been awarded right when you guys opened your doors!

Travel is Over, milc Posting Will Now Continue!
I Robert, will usually be the one posting most of the content on the site, so if ever there is a two day gap of no content on milc, it's usually because I'm traveling (as I am on tour!) So please bare with us!
I just arrived in Frankfurt last night after a 14 hour trip from Taipei to Hong Kong, Hong Kong to Frankfurt. Met with my European manager and then drove with him, his assistant, & his son to Dortmund, Germany (2 hour drive). Arrived at the beautiful hotel last night, ate some amazing local take out Indian Food, then crashed! The weather here is super dry and snowy, the absolute opposite of Taipei! Flic Flac Circus dress rehearsal is in about an hour.
Anyways, the point is that for the past 3 days there has been a lack of content on the site, and we will get back to posting asap!

"I’m happy with this Time cover mostly because I’m proud to help acknowledge and amplify the influence of protest movements this year, especially Occupy Wall Street. Exposure leads to dialogue, and I’m glad that the issues Occupy is concerned with are finally being discussed.
With the cover image I wanted to capture the dedication and spirit of defiance that any protester must possess in the face of arrest or worse.
Time provided me with images to sift through and I illustrated from a photograph that I thought would be a good reference for an iconic and compelling protester. In my art I try to emphasize the most powerful essence of an image and eliminate anything superfluous. In this case I felt there was a powerful contrast between the intensity of her eyes and her unthreatening yellow knit beanie. I wanted the protester to come across as serious, but not scary. Most of the protesters I’ve met are normal, idealistic, young adults, so I thought the “person next door” feel was important. Ironically, I found out that the subject of the photo I illustrated from, Sarah Mason, is an LA resIdent and employee of the Robert Berman gallery who I have worked with. I hope to meet or speak to her at some point.
This Time issue is a documentation of an irrefutable phenomenon, not an incitement to protest(I wish I had that degree of influence over Time’s agenda) even though I do encourage people to stand up for their beliefs and protest if necessary . Regardless, if this Time cover encourages others to stand up for their ideals, I think it is a victory."

Cardinal Sin is a bust with its face sawn off and replaced by blank tiles, designed as a response to the child abuse scandal in the Catholic church.
In a statement, Banksy said: "I'm never sure who deserves to be put on a pedestal or crushed under one."
"The statue? I guess you could call it a Christmas present. At this time of year it's easy to forget the true meaning of Christianity - the lies, the corruption, the abuse."

I hope there is a vote on this, because if somebody decides for me what I can and can't use on the internet, I'm seriously going to move to another country that will allow me to read and watch whatever I want, whenever I want. Here is a little excerpt from the Full Article on RT News.

""Dubstep has obviously had a huge rise in the last year and a half with the mainstream success of the likes of Magnetic Man and Katy B in the UK charts not to mention others like Bassnectar & Skrillex in the US. Dubstep has recently been added to the Oxford & Chambers dictionary and is defined as a "type of electronic popular dance music developed from drum and bass".
Also added into the chambers dictionary, "grime" - "a style of popular music combining elements of dance hall and hip hop".
The genres are among 200 new additions to the latest edition of the dictionary.
Another random term added has been the word "beatboxing", which is described as "Imitating an electronic drum machine using the voice".
Editor of the Chambers dictionary, says: "Chambers only includes words that are here to stay and these music styles have proved that they are.
"The way people create and consume music is also driving major changes in the way we speak."

Scientists are not yet sure whether these organisms will eventually do more good than harm in dealing with pollution. If their digestion products are environmentally-friendly, then it would mean that nature has found a new way to limit the damage humanity does."

This was also part of my mpg collection back in the day! The best part is the end when the protagonist looks in the mirror and it turns out to be a woman ;]
