Flexibility and popping are getting very mixed up these days. Having a bunch of flexible moves is not popping, it is ONLY POPPING IF, you are ADDING the actual POPPING TECHNIQUE TO THE MOVES and doing them ON BEAT!
'Popping' is an umbrella term for many different styles that have been added to the 'popping' genre of art/dance for the last 4 decades. Some in which include, Hitting, Waving, Tutting, Animating, Ticking, Roboting ETC. Flexibility has always been experimented with popping, and always was an argument whether people that were flexible were actually popping or not. I say yes and no, if you can pull your leg over your head, its not popping. If you can tick your leg over your head (GOOD), its popping. GET IT?!
Being flexible WILL help being balanced, having straight lines, & gives you a wide range of movement. Excellent to improve any dance or sport.
